AGENDA
1. Review of the minutes from the meeting of April
17, 2008, including updates on emergency evacuation
procedures; police presence at rec centers in challenged
areas; pool season police coverage; scheduling and
preparation for meeting with Deputy Mayor for Public
Safety; development of a protocol for posting regarding
what to do when a shooting occurs.
2. Update on communication of health and safety decisions/minutes
through District meetings and other avenues
3. Summer schedule for Health and Safety meetings – union
suggests forgoing July and August meetings, with both
union & management reserving the right to call
an emergency meeting, should the need arise
4. Update on Recreation Department budget and allocations
5. Update on incidents of violence at Rec Centers
since last meeting
6. Update on signage distribution
7. Update on City memorial for non-uniformed workers
killed on the job
8. Let’s put together a comprehensive list of
committee members with contact info. We are soliciting
new reps from Local 2187, since their current reps
on the committee have been promoted to 2186-represented
positions
